Health Desk—May 16, 2017: Over 1029 community clinics will be set up and around 2,000 community clinics be renovated and developed.
This information was revealed in a meeting about the activities of the Department of Health Engineering and community clinic model on Monday (May 15th) in the Secretariat.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim chaired the meeting.
In his speech, Nasim said, “People get basic health care through village level community clinics. Getting 32 free medicines.’
The minister directs the concerned people to take initiative to get more health services from the common people.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Engineer of Health Engineering Department Brigadier General MA Mohi highlighted the department’s activities and future plans and new models of community clinic in a Power Point presentation.
Health Minister Zahid Malek, Health Services Department Secretary Sirajul Huq Khan, Secretary of Health Education and Family Planning Division. Sirajul Islam, Director General of Health Department and Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, among others, were present in the meeting.
