Health Desk: 05 April'19: Health and family welfare minister Zahid Malek said that tuberculosis treatment will be made soon in Bangladesh.
A new plant has been set up by the government drug company Essential Drugs Company Limited (EDCL), he said, "There will be medicines. There is no lack of medicines yet, the capacity will increase further. It started at Tk. 700 crore. We have taken the initiative to prepare TB drugs (tuberculosis).
The Health Minister said this while addressing a press conference organized on Thursday in the conference room of the Health and Family Welfare Ministry, World Health Day-2013.
Like other countries in the world, Bangladesh will also observe World Health Day on 7 April. The theme of this year is 'Equality and Solidarity-based universal primary healthcare.'
Zahid Malik says, in addition, non-invasive diseases in the country are increasing day by day. Currently, there are 65 percent patients in the country. At the same time, the government is working to bring about equality in health sector. No one will be out of healthcare.
Asked about the steps taken by the government hospitals to set fire to the hospitals, the Health Mnister said, "We have already given a direction to all the hospitals, if we know what steps will be taken to deal with the fire accident. Apart from this, we have asked for testing of immediate fire drills and the equipment which is available. I have asked to take steps to activate those that are not active. ‘
Mr Zahid Malek says, "We are planning to make a small corner in the hospitals from where primary health care will be given. We have made different corners, autistic for mothers and children and a dedicated charity of primary health care for children. They will get primary health care for small diseases. Through this, we want to create equality. '
