Import-banned Indian medicine seized

Health Desk—Oct 31, 2017: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized import-banned Indian medicine worth Tk 14 lakh from Benapole on Monday night, UNB reports.

On secret information, a team of BGB members conducted a drive in the check post area and recovered the medicine, said, Lt Col Ariful Haque, commanding officer of BGB-49 battalion.

Sensing the presence of BGB, the smugglers fled the scene.

However, a case was filed with Benapole Port Police Station in this regard.
