Health Desk--- June 28, 2016: Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali on Tuesday urged Mongolia to import more jute and jute goods and pharmaceutical products from Bangladesh at a highly competitive price for further enhancing bilateral trade.
Mahmood Ali was talking to Non-Resident Ambassador of Mongolia Gonchig Ganbold who called on him at his office, a foreign ministry press release said.
During the meeting, they discussed many regional and international issues with special focus on broadening and deepening the existing friendly relations between the two countries in all areas.
The minister also told the Ambassador to work for a closer cooperation in sports and cultural fields.
Ambassador Ganbold in response assured that he would be working to further strengthen bilateral relations during his tenure.
He informed the foreign minister that the two countries are already cooperating in matters relating to digitization.
The envoy requested Mahmood Ali to encourage business people from Bangladesh to import wool, cashmere, leather and meat products from Mongolia.
He said he had already planned to hold Bangladesh film shows and translation of Bangla short stories into Mongolian language.
The Ambassador presented his credentials to the President of Bangladesh at Bangabhaban on Monday, the release added.
