Prevent your kids from engaging in gang culture: Home Minister

Health Desk-8 September, 2019: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has urged all parents to prevent their children from engaging in gang culture.

“Please, pay attention to your children so that they cannot get involved in such activity,” he said.

The minister came up with the statements while addressing a discussion titled ‘Our Role in Preventing Drug, Terrorism, Eve-teasing, Child Marriage and Misuse of Cell Phone and Internet’ at Police Staff College in Mirpur-14 of the capital on Saturday.

Bangladesh Retired Police Officers’ Welfare Association arranged the event.

Asaduzzaman Khan said, “Many teenagers are seen outside their residences late at night.  Why do they stay outside home after evening?”

He urged the guardians to be careful about their children so that they do not stay outside after evening.

Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) and President of the Association M Abdur Rauf presided over the event which was addressed, among others, by former VC of Dhaka University Professor Abu Ahsan Mohammad Shamsul Arefin Siddique, Additional IGP (Admin) Mainur Rahman Chowdhury and newly appointed DMP Commissioner Shafiqul Islam.
