Cattle markets to be set up following health guidance: Minister

Health Desk- 26 June, 2020: Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Minister Tazul Islam on Thursday said that cattle markets all over the country will be set up in accordance with health guidelines.

The minister said, “All cattle markets throughout the country will be set up following social distancing and health guidelines ahead of Eid ul-Adha.”

He made the statement at an online meeting on cattle market management at his office.

The minister said that animals will be sacrificed at the designated spots and the animal waste will be cleaned within the shortest possible time.

Buyers and sellers have to stick to social distancing norms, he said.

He added that everyone at the market has to wear masks and authorities of the markets must make sure that everyone entering the markets sanitizes their hands.

To ensure security, adequate number of law enforcers will be deployed at the markets.
