2,000 cyclone-hit people get free treatment in Chandpur

Health Desk-7 May, 2019: Nearly 2,000 rural destitute men, women and children have received free treatment and drugs from day-long Cyclone Fani medical camps at Raj Rajeswar union in Chandpur Sadar upazila on Sunday, reports UNB.

Navy Support Unit Instructor Lt Commander and Senior Medical Officer Dr Md Nurul Mostafa led the eight members medical team that treated 1,500 cyclone-affected destitute with free drugs at Monder Bazar, Shilarchar, Khaskandi and Masjidkandi.

Bangladesh Coastguard also arranged two separate medical teams in the same area in order to treat cyclone-affected people with free medicines at the Union Parishad Complex premises of the same upazila.

The camp was organized by Bangladesh Navy and Coastguard.
