DAM organizes training for addiction professionals

Health Desk-10 March’19: Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) has organized a Seven-day long training for the addiction professionals, including doctors, counselors, managers and other staff from the country’s different drug treatment and rehabilitation centers, a press release said. 

The training was held on two curriculum “Physiology and Pharmacology for Addiction Professionals” and ‘Treatment for Substance Use Disorders-The Continuum of Care for Addiction Professionals. The training was started from 09 March, Sunday and closing ceremony will hold on 16 March 2019, Sunday at Dhaka Ahsania Mission, Health Sector Training room.

Head of Health Sector, Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) and Global Master Trainer Iqbal Masud presided over the session. Project Coordinator of Health Sector (DAM) and Master Trainer Md. Amir Hossain and other internationally recognized Master Trainers will facilitate the training.

International Center for Credentialing and Education of Addiction Professionals (ICCE)) of Colombo Plan has recognized Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) for enhancing the capacity of professionals in drug treatment.

It aims to enhance the knowledge, skills and competency level of addiction and professionals by providing them with a solid foundational understanding of the science of addiction and latest information on evidence-based practices in treatment and interventions for clients and families.
