Call to make database of challenged people

Health Desk-- 16 May, 2018: Saima Wazed Hossain, WHO’s Goodwill Ambassador for Autism in South East Asia Region, on Tuesday underscored the necessity of database of challenged people.

The only daughter of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Saima Wazed Hossain stressed on undertaking different kinds of assistance for the country's disabled people.

While addressing a session of the '2nd International Conference on Disability and Disaster Risk Management' held at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in Dhaka, Saima Hossain said that legal framework is a must to rehabilitate the disabled people in the society with a view to ensuring a secure life for them.

The three-day conference began on Tuesday in Dhaka and will continue till Thursday with around 3,000 representatives, experts and victims of different countries and communities.

Saima chaired its second official session while Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam addressed the session as chief guest.
