Health Desk—October 18, 2017: The Chittagong Medical College Hospital authorities will reintroduce its security rules on November 1 as the government approved appointment of 100 Ansar personnel for CMCH on October 9.

Under the rules, only one attendant will be allowed to stay with one patient after collecting a security pass from the ward concerned in exchange for Tk 100 (refundable), said CMCH Director Brig Gen Md Jalal Uddin.

The medical college and nursing students will have to show their identity cards during entry, he said, adding that medical representatives will have access from 1:00pm to 1:30pm twice a week.

Mentionable, similar rules were introduced several years ago but the process was stopped later on allegation of misappropriating the refundable money.
