China's Red Cross donates for flood victims in Bangladesh

Health Desk—July 05, 2017: The Red Cross Society of China has donated US$ 100,000 to support the relief operation among the flood affected people of Bangladesh.

Charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka Chen Wei formally handed over the cheque to Mozaharul Huq, secretary general of Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) BMM at the embassy on Tuesday.

China has been following the flood situation in Bangladesh closely and the situation of the disaster has also been received extensive coverage by Chinese media, according to a press release of the Chinese embassy.

They also said they are willing to provide assistance for relief work according to Bangladesh's needs and demands, the press release added.
