Health Desk-10 August, 2019: The government has urged all concerned not to set up cattle markets beside roads and highways across the country ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, reports BSS.

The directive came from two recent meetings of local government division following the directives of the governance innovation unit under the Prime Minister’s Office, said a LGRD ministry press release.

The release said the government also urged all concerned to remove sacrificial animal waste on their own if those cattle are sacrificed in their house yards or on the premises of the educational institutions.

All the authorities concerned including city corporations, pourashavas, upazila parishads and union parishads have undertaken necessary steps to ensure sacrifice of animals at the designated places, said the press release.

The meetings were also informed that the people would be apprised of the designated places for sacrificing animals through digital display at every cattle market.

Necessary facilities would be taken for draining out blood of the sacrificial animals from government designated spots.
