Health Desk—Nov 10, 2017: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has decided to launch an anti-dust campaign with the advent of dry season, municipal officials said.

Mayor of Dhaka South Sayeed Khokon inaugurated the campaign on Thursday in front of the Nagar Bhaban while DCCI officials said the municipal body would clean its 50 kilometers main roads spraying water for two times daily, according to the sources.

“Nine vehicles with water containers will wash the roads in the city corporation areas from 6:00am to 8:00am and from 1:00pm to 3:00pm everyday,” he said launching the campaign.

The mayor said the DSCC took various initiatives to make the city livable for the residents of the capital as no road was now free from dust that causes asthma and lung allergy.

“We want to get free the city dwellers from this problem by making the city dust and pollution-free,” Khokon said.
