Bangla VersionHealth Desk- 20 Dec 2020: Thirty-eight people have died in the country from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Sunday.
The total number of deaths has now reached 7,280 and the death rate stands at 1.45 percent.
A total of 1,153 new infections were recorded during this period, taking the total number of people infected to 5,00,713, stated the release.
The current positivity rate is 8.66 percent, while the total positivity rate stands at 16.28 percent.
At least 13,316 samples were tested across the country in the last 24 hours.
