Health Desk-11 April, 2019: A parliamentary body on Wednesday asked the government to conduct drives against food adulterators, terming them more dangerous than arson attackers.
“Those who do such kind of work are more dangerous than the arson attackers,” Mohammad Nasim, chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on food ministry, told reporters at a briefing at Parliament Secretariat.
Nasim also urged the businessmen not to raise the prices of essential commodities during the month of Ramadan, the fasting month for the Muslims.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also urged the businesses recently not to increase the prices of essential commodities during the Ramadan.
Committee members, including food minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder, Nurul Islam Nahid and whip Atiur Rahman Atique, among others, were present at the briefing.
