Emergency psychosocial support held in BANBEIS

Health Desk-- 3 Jan’19: Bangladesh Scouts and Action Against Hunger jointly gave training to enhance the physical and mental awareness amongst people titled 'Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergency for Rover Scout' under Dhaka Earthquake and Emergency Preparedness (DEEP) project.

The training has recently took place in the conference room of Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics (BANBEIS).

Md Shah Kamal, Secretary, Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief and National Commissioner (CD & Health), Bangladesh Scouts, inaugurated the training course and presented certificates to the trainees at the end of the course.

Among others, Md Fashiullah (Additional Secretary), Director General, Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics (BANBEIS) and Deputy National Commissioner (CD & Health), Bangladesh Scouts; and the Course Director lead the training. Arshadul Mukaddish, participated in the training course.

The participating Rover Scouts gained hands-on knowledge and experience about the mental condition, communication, primary remedies, self-defense, and psychological motivation to the affected person during emergencies.
