Health Desk-- 23 May, 2018: Knowledge sharing among youths on abuse of drug will contribute more to saving society from the scourge, experts and physicians at a programme said.
They also called for increasing family-level counselling while addressing a programme marking the fifth anniversary of Beacon Point, a drug rehabilitation centre, in Gulshan area on the capital recently.
Department of Narcotics Control Director Mofidul Islam was the chief guest on the occasion while Beacon Point Chairman Md Ebadul Karim made the address of welcome. Physiatrist Prof Golam Rabbani presided over the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Ebadul Karim said the medical centre began its journey with a vow to establish a drug-free society.
Beacon’s Senior Vice President Mohammad Hanif presented an overview of five-year journey of the centre and sought support from all to make contribution to building a society free from drug.
