Survey conducted on vital healthcare for Rohingya people by UMCRC

Health Desk: 28 April 2018: Investigators of Universal Medical College Research Centre have conducted a need-based survey on "Need-Assessment Survey for Essential Primary Healthcare for the Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMN) Population".

Professor Md. Ridwanur Rahman, Professor M. ABul Foyez, Professor Mayenu, Dr. Rofiqul Hasan, Dr. Ashish Kumar Chakrabarty, and Dr. Iqbal Kabir have conducted the investigation, says a press release.

They have found that most of them are HSC graduate. They can speak the local dialect of Chittagong since their childhood. More than half have participated in the survey for various research works.

The surveyors went through trainings for two days long and on the third day, they were evaluated. Based on the evaluation, two of the surveyors were rejected. The survey was conducted to evaluate the socio-economic condition of the displaced Myanmar nationals in Bangladesh.
