Bangla VersionHealth Desk: Dec 30, 2017-- Speakers at a discussion on Thursday stressed creating awareness about family planning activities among fertile couples to check the country's population growth.
They said if the early marriage and unexpected pregnancies could be checked in a greater perspective, the country's population growth will come down.
The Department of Family Planning, Narsinngdi, arranged the meeting at Sadar upazila auditorium, marking the Family Planning Service and Publicity Week 2017.
The speakers urged the officials concerned, particularly the field level officials of the department, to be careful and professional in performing their respective duties to attain their cherished goal.
Deputy Director of the Family Planning Department (Narsinngdi) Abdur Razzak, Commandant of District Ansar VDP Shaha Ahmed Fazla Rabbi, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (Narsingdi Sadar) Salim Reza, Health and Family Planning Officer (Polash upazila) Dr Arifur Rahman Nayan, Health and Family Planning Officer (Sadar upazila) Dr IbrahimTitan and Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation Abdullah-Al-Masud, among others, spoke at the meeting.
