Health Desk—Oct 18, 2017: The right arm of Muktamoni who came from from Satkhira, has started to show improvements, say doctors.
The arm has been left without bandage and frequent dressing is being conducted for further improvement, they said.
Earlier on October 8, the 12-year-old girl was operated on at Dhaka Medical College Hospital for the fourth time. On October 10, skin grafting was done for transplantation of skin on the arm.
Samanta Lal Sen, national coordinator of Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit at DMCH, said, “Bandage-free dressing is required after skin grafting.”
Muktamoni underwent the first successful surgery at DMCH on August 12.
A tumour of nearly three kilogrammes was removed from the arm in the operation. Later, two more operations were conducted to remove tumours from her hand, arm and shoulder.
