Health Desk—Oct 07, 2017: More than 1,000 patients received free eye treatment and 600 get free spectacles from an eye camp at Panchokroshi union under Ullapara upazila in Sirajganj on Friday.
While selected cataract patients will undergo surgery at Professor MA Matin Memorial BNSB Base Eye Hospital in Sirajganj, a partner hospital of the ECP-MSS, says a press release.
The Eye Care Project of Manabik Sahajya Sangstha (ECP-MSS) in association with Professor MA Matin Memorial BNSB Base Eye Hospital of Sirajganj, Patharpara Government Primary School and Panchokroshi Union Parishad has organised the eye camp, says a press release.
The eye camp is sponsored by Dr Mohammad Ali Faisal, a non-resident Bangladeshi living in Florida, USA.
Founder president of MSS Feroz M Hasan, its executive committee member Amena Feroz, Tarikul Ghani, adviser of ECP-MSS, Md Emam Hasanath, executive director of MSS, and Touhidul Islam Feroz, chairman of 12 No. Panchokroshi union parishad under Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj, among others, were present at the camp.
The ECP-MSS is working to prevent avoidable blindness in Bangladesh.
