Health Desk, May 17, 2017: A total of 1,600 eye patients received treatment for free at an eye camp at Harinarayanpur in Kushtia on Tuesday.
Bashundhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute, Vision Care and Dwarka Das organised the camp on the campus of Dwarka Das Agar Wala Women’s’ College in the area.
College Principal Asaduzzaman, governing body President Narayan Chandra Agar Wala and local union parishad Chairman Mohiuddin were present at the event.
Patients diagnosed with cataract and glaucoma were provided treatment. Scores of patients have been selected for eye operation.
They will be taken to Bashundhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute at Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital for surgery very soon.
Prof Dr Md Saleh Ahmed, Dr Rubina Akter and Dr Abdul Khalek of Bashundhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute conducted the eye camp and administered treatment to the patients.
Prof Md Saleh Ahmed is also the president of Vision Care Foundation.
