Health Desk-- 21 June, 2018: The 4th International Yoga Day was observed on Thursday in Bangladesh as elsewhere across the globe.

Yoga can be a way to bring the misguided youth back to normal life from drug addiction, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on the occasion said.

“Yoga can be a powerful and effective way to protect the young generation distracted by the vicious claws of drug addiction,” Quader said as he joined thousands of yoga enthusiasts at the Bangabandhu Stadium in Dhaka to mark International Yoga Day on Thursday.

His comment comes at a time when the government is conducting an anti-narcotics crackdown across the country.

Mentionable, Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre in collaboration with the Indian High Commission organised the event attended by people from Dhaka and its adjacent districts.
