Bangla VersionHealth Desk-21 Nov, 2019: Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) took out an awareness procession on its premises on Wednesday to celebrate the World Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Day.
Securing this year’s slogan of the day ‘All Together To End COPD,’ the Department of Respiratory Medicine of the medical university organised the programme at around 9.00am of the university, said a press release.
BSMMU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Kanak Kanti Barua attended the event as chief guest while pro-VC (Research and Development) Professor Dr Md Shahidullah Sikder and its treasurer Professor Dr Md Atikur Rahman were present as special guests.
BSMMU registrar Professor Dr ABM Abdul Hannan, proctor Professor Dr Syed Mozaffor Ahmed, director (Hospital) Brig Gen Dr AK Mahbubul Hoque and chairman of the department of Respiratory Medicine Professor Dr AKM Mosharraf Hossain attended the programme.
