Bangla VersionHealth Desk-- 14 May, 2018: Gonoshasthaya Dialysis Center on Sunday said that it would be able to make kidney transplants and dialysis more affordable if it does not have to navigate through bureaucratic tangles.
Marking the first founding anniversary of the center, a presentation of the center said that an implementable law should be put in place so that a person can donate kidney if he is willing. VAT, tax should be lifted from the health sector as the services should not be treated as commercial ones.
Prof Syed Modasser Ali, former member, Executive Committee, WHO, former advisor to the prime minister, Health and Family Welfare and Social Welfare, Chairman, Bangladesh Medical Research Council and Dr. Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin, President of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) were present among others in the event.
The program was presided over by Prof Dr Laila Parveen Banu, vice chancellor (acting) of Gono Bishwabidyalay.
