Health Desk--1st May, 2018: Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) contributes a lot to the country’s healthcare sector, said, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Maleque.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a seminar marking the 21st founding anniversary of BSMMU on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Kanak Kanti said, BSMMU will be made a centre of excellence for higher education and research in medical science.
He advised all concerned to be aware of breakout of chikungunya and dengue fevers due to heavy rains this year.
Pro-vice chancellors, registrar, proctor, deans, teachers, students, nurses and other employees were also present on the occasion. The scientific seminar on chikungunya was held at Shaheed Dr Milon Hall at the university. Prof Kanak presided over it.
