Health Desk—Oct 25, 2017: Students of City Medical College located in Gazipur formed a human chain in front of the National Press Club in the capital on Tuesday demanding migration to other private medical colleges due to poor academic condition of the college.

Participant of the human chain Protthoma Modak, a student of the 3rd batch of the medical college, said among manifold problems, the biggest hurdle is that most of the teachers of the college are hired from other colleges and they do not take classes regularly.

Meanwhile, Health Ministry and Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) have suspended the admission procedure of the college for the secession of 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 as the college failed to fulfill the requirements of the ministry and the BMDC.
