Health Desk-- June 16, 2017: A patient at Munshiganj Hospital who had been missing for four days, was found dead on the roof of the building on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Hazi Rafique Bepari, 70.
Nephew of the deceased, Mizan Bepari said his uncle had been admitted to the hospital on June 6 while in critical condition.
“We had not found him after he went missing on June 11,” added.
Later, a general diary was filed with Munshiganj Sadar police station in this connection, Mizan added.
It was first noticed that Rafique was missing during a routine check of his room on the morning of June 11.
On Thursday morning, when some of the hospital staff went to the roof, they found him dead, Siddiqur added.
Rafique had been suffering from a mental disorder and that he had a history of leaving home alone, said Younus Ali, officer-in-charge of the police station.
The cause of death would be determined after an investigation, the OC added.
