Physicians asked to behave well with patients

Health Desk—April 19, 2017: Commissioner of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) Dr Nasir Uddin Ahmmed has called upon the physicians to behave well with the patients in all government hospitals.

"The patients can automatically recover by fifty per cent if the physicians behave well with them," the ACC Commissioner made the remarks during his sudden visit to Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the city on Tuesday evening.

During the visit, the ACC Commissioner inspected different wards where he talked to the patients about their situation and treatments, exchanged views with the physicians and nurses and directed them for conducting duties sincerely.

"The physicians have been getting salaries and benefits from the government revenue paid by the common people. So the doctors should not neglect patients and have to conduct their duties with utmost sincerity and professional honesty," Nasir Uddin Ahmmed said.

Director of RMCH Dr Moudud Hossain assured the ACC Commissioner of taking necessary actions for making the RMCH broker-free, maintaining cleanliness and resolving other problems to ensure best services to the patients.

Director of ACC Md Moniruzzaman, its Rajshahi Divisional Director Abdul Aziz Bhuiyan, Deputy Director of District Combined Office of ACC Mozahar Ali Sarder, General Secretary of District Corruption Prevention Committee Akbar Hossain, among others, were present during the visit.
