amarhealth.com: Would you please tell about AMRI Hospitals Limited?
Rupak Barua: AMRI Hospitals Limited mainly started its journey with a limited resources in 1998. Now it is ornamented with 1000 beds, over 500 doctors, and 10,000 surgeries successfully held every year. There are four hospitals and one day care center located at Dhakuria, Mukundapur, Saltlake and Southern Avenue under Kolkata and at Bhubaneswar of Odisha in India. Currently, Emami Group has 98% share in AMRI Hospitals Limited while the government has only 2 percent.
amarhealth.com: Is there any plan to magnify services?
Rupak Barua: AMRI Hospitals Limited experimentally installed two robotic cameras to keep healthcare uninterrupted so that with their help physicians from remote areas can identify patients’ problems in emergency period. Besides, we are going to add at least 200 beds in the hospitals very soon. We always try to keep the finest technologies and recruit dedicated doctors, nurses, technicians and patient service staff so that patients’ satisfaction is ensured properly.

Rupak Barua: Considering patients’ sufferings we have launched a patient connect app ‘AMRI Hospitals’ to enhance their experience at AMRI Hospitals Ltd. You can now look up for doctors across our hospitals, request for appointments and home care services, manage your confirmed appointments, instantly alert us in case of an emergency, access your medical reports across all our hospitals from in a short. With an aim to make our hospital paperless, we are going to improve our online support so soon. Patients will get telemedicine service through online contact.
amarhealth.com: What are the facilities AMRI Hospitals Ltd. gives to Bangladeshi patients?
Rupak Barua: AMRI Hospitals Ltd. never considers Bangladeshi patients as foreigners, rather we provide them same facilities like natives. We made a separate counter and public relations officer for Bangladeshi patients. They can also get their favorite doctor’s advice from Bangladesh Office located in the capital’s Lalmatia, Block A, House- 6/1, 3rd floor.
