BGB seizes 2.70 lakh Yaba pills in Teknaf

Health Desk—April 15, 2017: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 2.70 lakh pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from village Nayapara of Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar early Saturday.

Lieutenant Colonel Abu Jar Al Zahid, commanding officer of BGB-2, said BGB personnel challenged a group of people while they were roaming in the area suspiciously around 5:30am.

They, however, managed to flee the scene leaving behind two bags.

Searching the bags, the border guards recovered 2.70 lakh pieces of Yaba tablets.
